  2. Surface functionalization, synthesis of core-shell hybrid nanostructures, and self-assembly of metallic nanostructures;
  3. Single-particle darkfield, fluorescence, and optical trapping methods;
  4. Fabrication of novel plasmonic optical and electronic devices;
